About Halfdone? Halfdone is a Jakarta based clothing brand, founded in 2022 by 3 people who came together from 3 different backgrounds.

Skip the part on how we all met, originally before it was called "Halfdone" we have planned it in 2018 that we’re going to build our own brand and create our own product from what us took a like in. Guess you’re wondering why did it took so long for the brand to emerged, well that’s a story for some other time.

As for the name itself “Halfdone”, back then we never knew what we’re all about and what brand we are going to be because we only know one thing and that was we just want to print some t-shirts!. Many discussions went by, but we just can’t come up with a single thing and we knew that it’s more than just printing t-shirts. Don’t get me started on what names we’ve suggested over those times, sheesh there are some ridiculous and ugly names suggestions back then.

Until comes a time when the topic of our discussion was each of us must gave out our own opinion on what core values do we want bring to the brand and yes, no surprise we came to another disagreement. You know the famous light-bulb aha moment, that’s what comes next is when one of founders said while sound a bit desperate, it goes like this “we are just ordinary people without a single background in the fashion industry, but just love it” believe me those are the exact words that he said and so we noticed that we are not the 100% right person to build this and maybe we aren't supposed to, but we wanted to.

Long story short we ended up choosing the name “Halfdone”. The name “Halfdone” comes from the words "half" and "done", it means something that is unfinished or partially completed. Halfdone resembles everything that is unfinished, not 100%, imperfections, flaws and mistakes, it also resembles us, you and the people around us who are "half done" who are still trying to do everything that they can to achieved that "done" label and sometimes do things that they're not, to be acknowledged, approved and accepted by someone else. That is the meaning of "Halfdone" we stood by those who are "half done" and that's why our apparel are driven from things that we like and stories that we've experienced.

It's not like you can't be who you are or what you are now to be somebody. Right?

Well that’s a little bit about us, it’s not your typical introduction, what can we say? It’s Halfdone.
